Gloomth’s latest collection Ghost Story was inspired by whispered ghost stories told by candlelight, folklore, and real life hauntings.
Gloomth’s Ghost Story Collection is a subdued collection of party dresses and separates with Victorian influences in shades of black and pale blue gray. It’s intention is to channel images of the mist that collects in graveyards, October, and everything strange and dark that we cannot explain.

The fabrics and details paired with consistency in cut and shape make for a very cohesive collection. The Seance Dress is the most formal with gray lace trim. The whimsy and playfulness of this collection and all of Gloomth’s designs can be clearly seen in the stories behind them. The Seance Dress aims to solve the dilemma of what to wear when contacting the afterlife. It can be incredibly risky, so it’s best to be well-dressed when doing so. You never know what sort of parties the dead might invite you to!
The blue pieces are perhaps the most stand out because of their striking color. With the raw edge medical cross sewn on the front of this long sleeve dress, it is truly eye catching.
The separates all pair nicely together and picking up a few of them allows for a variety of outfits.
The Apparition Blouse breaks from Gloomth’s classic cotton material and offers a sheer option. Inspired by the shadow that moves in the corner of your eye, a faded wisp of something that may not have ever been there yet you feel it all the same. It might be the most versatile piece in the collection.
This simple black dress shines in its details, a polished trim and a beautiful lace up back.
The Borley Ghost Dress and the Phantom Jacket are truly stand out pieces as well. The Borley Ghost Dress is bold in black with a raw edge white cross. The Phantom Jacket is very unique and could layer over a dress for a different look and for warmth.
The Charlotte Dress really shows off Gloomth’s design sensibilities. This dress stays playful but it could get a lot of use for various occasions.
