Auxiliary would like to honor the best of 2016, those who really stood out, those who really embodied the Auxiliary spirit and aesthetic.

First Round
The first round was from December 28th to January 12th and is now closed. Through open nominations the following Club Nights were nominated: Asylum in Hamilton, ON, Canada; Bar Sinister in Los Angeles, CA, United States; Carpe Noctum, Leeds, United Kingdom; Das Bunker in Los Angeles, CA, United States; Nocturna in Chicago, IL, United States; Radiation in Buffalo, NY, United States; Reptile, London, United Kingdom; Schwarzer Reigen in Vienna, Austria; The Castle, Tampa, FL, United States; Vertex in Rochester, NY, United States; and Wednesdays at Milk Bar in Denver, CO, United States. Through open nominations the following Festivals were nominated: Burning Man in Black Rock Desert, NV, United States; Das Bunker 20th Anniversary Festival, Los Angeles, CA, United States; M´era Luna in Hildesheim, Germany; Out From The Shadows Festival, Portland, OR, United States; Sacrosanct in Reading, United Kingdom; Terminus Festival in Calgary, AB, Canada; The Meadows Music & Art Festival, Queens, NY, United States; Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig, Germany; and Whitby Goth Weekend, Whitby, United Kingdom
Second Round
The second round was from January 14th to January 20th and was to choose the winner of the award. Five official nominees were chosen based on number of votes, reader opinions, and the nominees’ accomplishments throughout 2016. Voting was limited to once per day. The nominee with the most votes in the second round received the award. Asylum in Hamilton, ON, Canada; Carpe Noctum, Leeds, United Kingdom; The Castle, Tampa, FL, United States; Nocturna in Chicago, IL, United States; and Schwarzer Reigen in Vienna, Austria are the five official nominees for Best Club Night. Burning Man in Black Rock Desert, NV, United States; Das Bunker 20th Anniversary Festival in Los Angeles, CA, United States; M´era Luna in Hildesheim, Germany; Terminus Festival in Calgary, AB, Canada; and Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig, Germany are the five official nominees for Best Festival.
