bring in the new year with dancing

It’s new years eve; 2010 is almost here.  What better way to bring in the new year than by dancing the night away?  There are many many parties and events going on this evening I’m sure… here are some of the highlights if you’re still deciding on plans.

Defcon and Metro’s New Years Eve Party
Defcon and Metro are joining forces to bring you a mix of indurstrial/noize/ebm and 80s dance music at The Pyramid, one of the last clubs in New York with regular goth/industrial nights.  Xris SMack!, fetish and club night promoter, and DJ Jet, Vampire Freaks mastermind, are guest DJing.  $10 cover.

Subspace New Years Eve Party
Subspace Fetish Night, a monthly Toronto fetish night, is having a special new years eve event at the Big Bob.  This will be one of the last events at the Big Bob, as this staple Queen Street venue is closing in January.  Dancey tunes will be provided Soundgazer, DJ Pale (former resident at Savage Garden), DJ Prospero, and DJ Pulse Plant.  Fetish elegant dress is requested and if you don’t have tickets yet, it will be $30 at the door.

Continue the party all weekend long at the Big Bob with what might very well be the last Darkrave in Toronto.  It’s a 40 hour event starting at 6pm on January 1st, with a new DJ playing every hour, no repeats.  Tickets are $50.

Transmission Dance Party

Dance away the night to indie/electro/synthpop/80s dance music spun by DJs Bill Page and Jason Kyle at the newly rerenovated Mohawk Place.  This is sure to be a great party and some of the Auxiliary crew will be in attendance.  $5 cover.

This new years eve could prove an eventful one, as it’ll be a blue moon tonight, second full moon of the month.  And make sure the friend drinking water and soda all night is driving you home or take a taxi or public transportation.

  1. Hello. This is kind of an “unconventional” question , but have other visitors asked you how get the menu bar to look like you’ve got it? I also have a blog and am really looking to alter around the theme, however am scared to death to mess with it for fear of the search engines punishing me. I am very new to all of this …so i am just not positive exactly how to try to to it all yet. I’ll just keep working on it one day at a time Thanks for any help you can offer here.
