Kane & Unke’s 40S Military Jacket

One of my favorite fashion stylings for men is the military aesthetic and the 40S Military Jacket by Kane & Unke is a great example. Metropark has the exclusive on Kane & Unke’s contemporary collection, in other words, you have to go to Metropark to get this jacket! My favorite parts of the design are the funnel collar and the multi pocket details which really gives the militaristic construction a contemporary feel. Throw out that military surplus jacket and slip this baby on with some pinstriped trousers and a pair of Beatle boots for a night on the town.
The 40S Military Jacket is available online at www.metroparkusa.com.

Elvis 1970s Sunglasses

This week’s item is in honor of the anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death on August 16th. We at Auxiliary take the King of Rock-n-Roll’s passing very seriously.

Luke is rockin’ the King’s look.
You can honor Elvis in your own way by rocking a pair of Elvis 1970s Sunglasses in either gold or silver. You can find these sunglasses and much more at www.shopelvis.com, which is the official Elvis and Graceland online store. You too can be TCB (Taking Care of Business) in these fine shades and perhaps do a little hip shake down the isle while you’re shopping, or karate chop your way through a crowd, then wiping the sweat from your brow with your cape. No matter how you evoke the King, don’t get “All Shook Up” because, the King’s memory will never die!
Elvis 1970s Sunglasses are available at www.shopelvis.com.

Spragwerks’ Butcher Stick Pin

Spragwerks is the brain child of Rich Sandomeno and he is one of my favorite jewelry designers. His designs are solid, the craftsmanship is tip top and the style of Spragwerks is post-industrial meets the macabre. The Butcher Stick Pin really caught my eye as a versatile piece that can be worn by either sexes. I can see this pin accenting a gents fedora, adoring a ladies fascinator hat, or decorating the lapels of a dinner jacket. All of Rich’s pieces are handmade and as he says, “One of my strongest beliefs is that fads come and go but style last forever.” Spoken like a true craftsmen! Spragwerks does your wardrobe good.

Retro-a-go-go’s Tattoo Mermaid Parasol

Ohhhhhh ahhhhh! Look at this beautiful paper parasol in tattoo mermaid design by Retro-a-go-go! I’m a delicate flower who easily gets sun stroke while being in direct sun for hours. I want to be able to frolick at; car shows, carnivals, the beach, and do other outdoor shenanigans without wilting, so a parasol is a great tool to shade myself and doubles as an outfit accessory. I really enjoy that the mermaid is tattooed and the lovely pink hibiscus flower details, insanely cute!

Plastik Wrap’s Oxide 3/4 Length Riding Pants

Plastik Wrap’s newest addition to their amazing designs, the Oxide ¾ Length Riding Pants have really got Jennifer and I excited! We’re excited because not only are they made for summer with breathable material, but they are so edgy and versatile! I personally love that these pants are modeled after riding pants from by-gone eras, yet is an updated design in true Plastik Wrap style. The barcode detailing at the knee add a futuristic feel, while the deep side pockets are functional and also add a very militaristic feel to the garment. I would dress up the Oxide pants with a fitted dress shirt and a bow tie, or style them with a basic fitted black tee and heels for a late night dinner. You can’t argue with a fashionable and comfortable option in these sweltering hot summer months.

Cyberdog’s Mens Pyjamas Bottom

I’ve always been in awe of Cyberdog’s glorious designs that range from elaborate futuristic chic to space-age and bubbly. The Mens Pyjamas Bottom in the pinstripe cyber print are exactly what I would expect from Cyberdog; comfy, kitschy, and rave-tastical! I really love the logo on the waistband paired with the music wave graphic in neon green, really fun! There are plenty of ugly men’s pj bottoms out there with only a few choices of either silly cartoon characters, fish, boats, and blue plaid (yuck!). Buy these for yourself or your boyfriend because they don’t suck! Yay!

Black Milk’s Silver Spartans

The first thing I have to say is, normally I would not endorse wearing lame for any reason, unless you’re evoking Elvis, but these leggings by Black Milk are FABULOUS! If you are a serious lover of anything futuristic you need to consider investing in these Silver Spartan leggings. Picture yourself dancing the night away in these beauties, paired with a black tunic dress, silver bangles and a pair of killer studded boots. Let those disco lights shine off your epic lame-clad body and don’t be ashamed that you’ll be the shiniest object in the club! Thank you Black Milk for bringing us more awesome leggings to drool over!

Tinymeat’s Hoochie Ghoul Wallet

My fellow editor, Luke Copping, hipped me to this item on www.makersmarket.com. I had never seen this website and was pretty impressed with the items, the website and it kicks Etsy’s ass (even though I sell on Etsy, eep!). The Hoochie Ghoul Wallet for Tinymeat, illustration done by Travis Pitts, is a great example of not only a sweet wallet but, an affordable piece of art you can carry around in your pocket. The girlie ghoul illustration on the front of the wallet is too damn cute, along with the interesting clear inside that makes it easy to find your dollar, dollar, bills, y’all! The great part about Tinymeat is that they feature independent artists and produce ethical handmade accessories. Check out their website www.tinymeat.com.

Pushin Daisies’ Human Heart Lapel Pin

First of all, pushindaisies.com is a glorious mortuary shop filled with delightfully morbid tongue-in-cheek items. A one stop shop for the dark at heart, who get a kick out of death! Under the “Dressing & Caskets” category you will find the Human Heart Lapel Pin, which is anatomical and hand-cast out of pewter. Now you can really wear your heart on your sleeve, well okay, maybe placing it on your jacket, top, or collar may be a better place.
