FAT Toronto ON, April 23 - Ashley Davies and Matt Smart are bringing latex from the bedroom to the runway like no one else in Canada. The newest House of Etiquette collection by this duo titled Filthy Gorgeous was showcased at at Toronto’s Arts and Fashion Week known as FAT was a strong showing. Ten models walked the runway in peplum tops, tight leggings, peek-a-boo bras, and body hugging dresses. This collections color palette consisted of transparent and opaque versions of royal blues, deep purples, yellow, and sunrise patterns all mixed with a stable of black. Everyone was polished to perfection, each look hugging the model like it was truly made only for them.
It’s the month of love and I can safely say I’m in love with the Minnie Top. House of Etiquette is really becoming a house hold name in quality latex. They are definitely on the forefront of designers that are bringing latex out of the fetish scene and making pieces that you can mix into your everyday wardrobe. With its high collar, slightly puffed sleeves, peplum detailing, mix of vintage and modern, and let’s not forget the easy access zipper; the Minnie Top is a great piece. House of Etiquette offers this gem of a top in a multitude of colors from mint to plum to transparent purple! This top is such a classic style and definitely a latex fashionista must. And if you are new to latex, why not start with a piece that can be dressed up or down? Go ahead, add a little shine to your style!
Kassandra Love is already well known in the Toronto fetish scene, having modeled Adala Latex and Ego Assassin, as an organizer of Subspace Fetish Night’s fashion shows, and for her involvement in Torture Garden Toronto, but she is well on her way to being known throughout the fetish world with her striking look and charisma in front of the lens. You may have spotted her modeling for Lady Lucie Latex, Futurstate, or Toxic Vision and you’re sure to spot her a lot more in the year to come.

My first encounter with House of Etiquette, a new Canadian latex design company founded in 2009, was at the third day of FAT and I was highly impressed! House of Etiquette designs are able to invoke both a classic fetish latex feel and a new, innovative high fashion feel at the same time. A bright red latex halter top bodysuit might seem tired and tacky, but here it is made classic, refined with black trim along the seams and a bold black strap waist cincher. Even the standard latex color palate is made more refined when the purple is metallic, the black is transparent, and the white has a floral print. This collection brings sophistication and fashion to latex but keeps it sexy, these pieces could pair nicely with non-latex garments for a night out but would also look authentic at a fetish event or party. I’m keeping a close eye on House of Etiquette!
