This powder is just for men, for “the boys”, when the hot summer months are leaving you feeling not so fresh. This amazing high-quality talc comes in three masculine fragrances that will leave you and your delicate man areas clean and refreshed. My favorite part about the application process reads, “Shake into hands and rub into desired area (don’t rub too hard!).” I can’t make this wonderfully odd stuff up! Balla Powder For Men, get some! Balla Powder for Men is available at www.groominglounge.com. - Meagan beauty editorial : emergeTuesday, May 18th, 2010featuring cosmetics by Illamasqua, Make Up For Ever, Tarina Tarantino, Urban Decay, and more photographer : Laura Dark view the full editorial in the April/May 2010 Issue item of the week : hawleywoods layrite original pomadeFriday, May 7th, 2010Calling all you grease monkeys out there, now your head doesn’t have to have the same consistency of what’s running your car! Hawleywoods Layrite Original Pomade has really changed my hubbies outlook on pomade, in other words, this stuff WASHES OUT and it holds! I know most of you love the build up, since it keeps the pompadour where it needs to be, but think of all the pillowcases, couches, car seats, and hats you’ve ruined! Layrite Pomade is water based so you can work with the wax-like consistency to get the perfect pomp everyday, every time AND it’s pleasant vanilla smell will have the ladies sniffin’ your quiff! This product is strong enough to use on mohawks, flat tops, or get the perfect slicked back look without looking (and feeling) like an oil slick, yuck! My hubby started using Layrite as a recommendation and has never looked back! Hawleywoods Layrite Original Pomade is available online at www.hawleywoods.com. - Meagan item of the week : 80s flash false eyelashes by red cherryFriday, April 9th, 2010Red Cherry’s 80s Flash False Eyelashes
image source nonpareilboutique.com My obsession with the fabulous show, RuPaul’s Drag Race, was the inspiration for me choosing the 80s Flash false eyelashes by Red Cherry. As drag queens would say, “Girl, you gotta give face!,” and using false lashes is an excellent way to throw some fierceness into your look. When applying lashes it’s recommended to cut the lashes to the desired length before applying and then using eyeliner to give you a clean line to camouflage the seam of the lash. These particular lashes are self adhesive, but I also recommend buying some additional eyelash glue in case you need some extra hold. After your done with your face, sashay shante the night away, that is the gospel according to RuPaul! The 80s Flash False Eyelashes are available online at www.nonpareilboutique.com. - Meagan beauty editorial : celestial bodiesFriday, February 19th, 2010
photographer : Steve Prue view the full editorial in the February 10 Issue sugarpill cosmeticsSunday, January 24th, 2010When I received a package from Shrinkle’s designer, Amy Doan, I was surprised to find a little package with a small sample from her up and coming cosmetic line, Sugarpill Cosmetics. I was greeted by a personal note with a sample of a gold loose eye pigment and I do mean GOLD! I was excited by the color as I’m really into golds, coppers, and bronzes to go with my fair skin and blonde hair.
image source shrinkle.com I applied the loose pigment directly to my lid with a soft, fluffy brush and I immediately noticed that the a little goes a long way! The color directly applied to the lid alone was not as intense as I normally like for an evening look, but I would wear it alone for a more subdued day look. I liked that the pigment blended very smoothly when I paired it with a more intense gold eyeshadow as a base, which really brought out the shimmer in the Sugarpill Cosmetics gold pigment. The two paired together made a nice shimmery evening look. I’m not a professional make-up artist, but I’m a budding make-up enthusiast and I can’t wait to try more Sugarpill Cosmetic products! I love the cosmetic ads for the upcoming launch and I think we’ll have a lot to look forward to from Amy Doan! Currently the Sugarpill Cosmetic’s website is still under construction, but you can purchase from eBay under her seller name, Shrinkle. Also check out her cute clothing creations on etsy.com. - Meagan behind the scenesTuesday, January 19th, 2010A quick behind the scenes take and beauty video from Auxiliary Magazine editor and frequent photographer for the magazine, Luke Copping.
