Our latest Item Spotlight comes from Auxiliary contributor Paige Etheridge. Her erotica book Kissing Stars Over the Rising Sun is about the Pan Pan of post WWII Japan. It is a story of one of these women named Miyako. The book offers more than just an exciting read, with it she asks, “what if the subculture you were a part of, or one that you loved, was erased?”

She has a goal and message. “Crushed by other cultures or government. That’s exactly what happened to the Pan Pan of post WWII Japan. Japan was so embarrassed by their existence, they fought to erase them from history.  All because these women were too independent, too financially free, too sexual, and too wild. But you can help bring their story to light. Help ensure they are finally remembered. Kissing Stars Over the Rising Sun  will hopefully be just the beginning of the Pan Pan story finally being told.  Let’s ensure no subculture is ever erased. Let’s ensure all stories are remembered.”

Grab a copy, help yourself get through a few more weeks of winter.

Kissing Stars Over the Rising Sun is available in paperback and on Kindle. Find more unique items with our Item of the Week and Item Spotlight features.
