Hey men, it’s getting warmer. Do you need some help with what to wear as it gets warmer? Well let me tell you. It’s all about printed shirts. I myself like tees and tanks, with cool art. Trevor Nicholls is the artist behind every art piece, shirt, skateboard, and shoe under the Monster Aesthetic brand. He’s a young one, in his early 20s hes making a name for himself as the guy who has you covered if you want something wicked and awesome. Trevor’s work can be found in various shop in Canada and the US, as well as on his site. Monster Aesthetics’s will also be touring with Warped Tour, so if you are going, you may be able to meet up in person to buy his wares. One of my personal favorite pieces is the Grey Goat Tank. All of the pieces are unisex, mind you I am thinking of the guys out there. It’s comfy, soft cotton with a dark black original goat head design printed with durability in mind. It pairs well with everything, so go take a look, and remember what Trevor teaches us; believe in the monster.
Depeche Mode has been around forever and with the backing of a major label, some Sony Music division, they are still relevant to the masses. Now as many of you know I don’t really care for them, I didn’t like them in the 80s (that I remember), I wasn’t a fan in the 90s nor the 00s, and now Delta Machine is their first release in the 10s and well I don’t know if I like it or I just dislike it because of my previous views. But like any good music editor I gave this a try. I did like the music, it is very well produced, and it is interesting throughout. I won’t comment on the lyrics or vocals. Perhaps I just need some recommendations on what are the really good songs on this album. Anyways Depeche Mode is more than important in the subculture I feel I belong in and for that they do deserve the release of the week.
Give me some feedback on your favorite tracks off Delta Machine!
Delta Machine is available for purchase online and can be listened to online on Spotify.
Team Ghost, the five piece band founded by ex-M83 co-founder Nicolas Fromageau (who was on the M83 and Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts albums), recently released the music video for “Curtains” off their forthcoming album Rituals due out April 16th. What starts out as a high fashion model dancing around the band turns into tons of weird hair imagery.
An overbust corset can be as versatile as your imagination and creativity will allow. The Rouge Reverence Corset by Heavy Red has just the right features to allow for a wide range of styling options; a solid color with texture for visual interest and a material, taffeta, that can be played up or played down, making it a must-have for this year and many more after.

There is something about a man in a great shoe. When you think Dr. Martens you may think punk, grunge, and all around epicness. But do you think of Doc’s for dressing a little more polished? Men take note, the Doctor has been working on so many unique and stylish shoes to give you options besides a basic black. One of my favorite shoes I’ve seen for men is from the Core Collection: the 3989 men’s dress shoe. I could see this paired with straight dark jeans and printed tee, leather jacket, or a suit and tie. It’s such a classic shoe with its black and white Brogue style, that you could definitely mix and match it with a variety of looks. But whatever you pair these with, you’ll be adding a touch of the grown up.
The 3989 from the Core Collection by Dr. Martens is available online for $125 at www.drmartens.com.

IAMX has a new music video out for “I Come With Knives” off his upcoming album The Unified Field. I say a big “yes” to Chris Corner dressed in the fashion of Nick Cave and Fields of the Nephilim dancing around at dusk or dawn in Joshua Tree National Park!
This season will have a few experimental color choices to play with, but one look that never dies is the red lip. Now personally I am more of a gloss girl myself, so when I got to try the super pigmented Carousel Gloss by Lime Crime I was ecstatic. Finally a lip gloss with some staying power! Carousel Gloss comes in a variety of shades but my top three choices currently are Candy Apple, Present, and Cherry On Top. And let’s not forget the cruelty free pledge, that’s right, they are cruelty free and most of the products are vegan too! Candy Apple is a deep red, it’s perfect for pairing with a form-fitting black dress for that date night you’ve been planning. The creamy berry coloring of Present is a shade that reminds me of my lace and velvet pieces, paired with some web stockings and an ankh necklace. Oh so goth. And last but not least is Cherry on Top, because damn it sometimes you just want to wear your favorite band tees and ripped jeans, or maybe go the pin up route and pair with a vintage print bikini and bandana. Whatever your style preference Lime Crime has you covered.
Ghost & Writer’s Red Flags, which is out now on Metropolis Records, marks the return of the collaboration from Frank M. Spinath (Seabound/Edge Of Dawn) and Jimmyjoe Snark III (The Weathermen). Ghost & Writer present music, melodies, and lyrics that cut through you like a knife and leave you bleeding from the heart. What made me fall in love with Ghost & Writer when their 2011 album Shipwrecks came out was the stories that were told within the lyrics. This trend still continues with Red Flags and with time, I am hopeful I will enjoy this album just as much.
